Cardiovascular CTA Symposium

Speaker Profiles 

Professor Charbel Saade

            Prof. Charbel Saade graduated from the University of Sydney in radiography, Masters in CT and MRI, and a PhD in contrast media delivery.  Charbel is currently working at the American University of Beirut as an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Medical Imaging Sciences. He is a frequent lecturer in international congresses like ASMIRT, RSNA, ECR and Arab Health.  Charbel has co-authored more than 60 original papers with more than 70 abstracts presented.  Charbel has a strong clinical background in the field of X-ray, CT and MRI.  Charbel is also Adjunct Professor of Medical Imaging at King Khaled University KSA as well as editor in chief of the international journal of medical imaging. Charbel is the owner and convenor of MDCT.com.au and has been teaching radiographers for more than 10 years with the latest tips and tricks to reduce contrast media administration and radiation dose whilst maintaining image quality without compromising image quality.  His particular focus also has been driven towards cross-sectional anatomy and pathology and its effects on image techniques.  Charbel has a particular focus on education by changing radiology "one image at a time".

 

Lance Lennon

           Lance Lennon graduated from the University of Sydney in Diagnostic Radiography and Master of Health Science with specialisation in CT. Lance has a strong clinical background in X-ray, CT, Advanced Visualisation and RIS/PACS. He is a frequent presenter at CT user group meetings as well as both domestic and international conferences such as ECR. Lance commenced employment with then Toshiba Medical now Canon Medical Systems in 2008 as a CT Applications Specialist. He has also held roles in CT Product Specialisation and now Senior Research Applications Specialist. Lance has had a strong focus on Radiographer education for over 10 years, reads consistently to stay current and enjoys the challenge of breaking down complex concepts into easy to understand bites of knowledge.

 

Dr. Arjuna Somanathan

          Arjuna graduated from the University of New South Wales’ Medical School in 2009 and obtained a Masters of Public Health (International Health) in 2013 also from UNSW. In 2012 he commenced his radiology training at St George Hospital Sydney, which he completed in 2017. He was a consultant radiologist at St George Hospital and in private practice in Sydney for the first half of 2017 before commencing a Chest and Body MRI Fellowship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth in July 2017.  He is currently a consultant radiologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and joined Perth Radiological Clinic in August 2018.

  1. A $100 late fee applies to registrations received one week prior to the conference.
  2. A $100 handling fee shall be deducted per day for cancelations
  3. No refunds will occur 2 weeks prior to the conference.
