On completion of the CTA course you will be able to:
Syllabus includes:
" Prof Saade is one of the greatest speakers who explains a complex topic in a simple way where I took it back to my workplace and had amazing results. I can't wait for your next conference Series "
Amanda K, Sydney Australia
"I would just like to thank you for the conference. This is easily the best conference I have ever been to. The topic was interesting, delivered in such a way that it captivated the audience, explained some basics that I am sorry to say even after 3 years working in CT I had no idea about. After the conference, I feel less like a button pusher in CT and feel I actually understand some concepts. The conference made me understand how little I actually know about CT and how much I am yet to learn. It has sparked a desire to learn more"
Maja T, Sydney, Australia

" His lectures slides are so clear and easy to follow - He is the only conference that provides ALL electronic lecture notes - I now have Prof Saade on the touch of my electronic devices and refer to his lecture notes ALL the TIme "
John K, Aukland, New Zealand
"Thank you for a brilliant, if an intense weekend.
I learned so much from the Cardiovascular CTA symposium that I took my new knowledge back to Women's and Children's Hospital and made changes to how we managed our timing bolus setup (as we scan mostly pediatric patients, we have been using timing bolus for all our CTA - but with quite mixed results). I had such great results - the 1st case was the Perfect PE study - radiologists were very impressed, and used half the contrast to previous studies! The enthusiasm continues with our pediatric patients, great scans with less contrast, so everyone wins"

Professor Charbel Saade
Prof. Charbel Saade graduated from the University of Sydney in radiography, Masters in CT and MRI, and a PhD in contrast media delivery. Charbel is currently working at the American University of Beirut as an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Medical Imaging Sciences. He is a frequent lecturer in international congresses like ASMIRT, RSNA, ECR and Arab Health. Charbel has co-authored more than 75 original papers with more than 70 oral abstracts presented. Charbel has a strong clinical background in the field of X-ray, CT and MRI. Charbel is also Adjunct Professor of Medical Imaging at King Khaled University KSA as well as editor in chief of the international journal of medical imaging. Charbel is the owner and convenor of MDCT.com.au and has been teaching radiographers for more than 10 years with the latest tips and tricks to reduce contrast media administration and radiation dose whilst maintaining image quality without compromising image quality. His particular focus also has been driven towards cross-sectional anatomy and pathology and its effects on image techniques. Charbel has a particular focus on education by changing radiology "one image at a time".
Professor Mark McEntee
Mark is Professor and Chair of Radiography at UCC, as well as an Honorary Professor of Radiography at the University of Salford UK and the University of Sydney AU. His research involves exploring novel technologies and techniques that enhance the detection of clinical indicators of disease, whilst minimizing risk to the patient. He is recognized as a leader in clinical translation of medical imaging optimization and radiological perception. His research has been disseminated through major international imaging meetings including the annual meetings of the Radiological Society of North America, European Congress, UK Radiological Congress, International Society of Optical Engineering and Medical Imaging Perception Society. He is the recipient of 10 highly prestigious awards. In total, he has published over 200 original papers in the highest-ranked radiological journals. He has generated $1.8m in funding from bodies. His publications have resulted in him being the only recipient of two prestigious Honorary Fellowships. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a fellow of the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy. He was Health Sciences Research Supervisor of the Year at the University of Sydney in 2018 and the Australian University teacher of the year 2017. He received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Higher Degree Teaching in 2014.
Professor Shane Foley
Shane J Foley is an Associate Professor in the School of Medicine, University College Dublin and is currently the Head of Subject, Radiography in UCD having been the BSc Radiography Programme Director from 2015-2019. His primary research interests are in Computed Tomography, radiation dose and optimization methods, areas in which he completed his Ph.D. studies in 2013. He is a past president of the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy and remains active both nationally and in a European context via the European Federation of Radiographer Societies. He served on the program planning committee (as co-chair of the Radiographers scientific subcommittee) of the European Congress of Radiology 2018 and 2019 having been a subcommittee member during both 2016 and 2017. He is currently Chair of the scientific committee for the International Society of Radiographers and Radiologic Technologists (ISRRT) world congress 2020, which will be hosted in Dublin in August 2020. He is currently a member of the European Society of Radiology radiation protection subcommittee and has also been part of two consortiums which completed projects for the European Commission, specifically the PiDRL (European diagnostic reference levels for paediatric imaging) and the BSS (2013/59/Euratom) Transposition project and am currently acting as a scientific advisor to the EUCLID project.
